What's on the Mountain

"Well, now that you know a little bit about how Wild Willie II Mountain came to be, lets stroll around a bit and see some of whats here. We'll start rite here at the main gate where you can see some of the locals gathering as we first opened the mountain way back in the spring of '95."

"As we wander 'round the mountain, we'll see a whole bunch of real interestin' shops. We'll just stop by and take a peek at a few of them and maybe gawk at some of the fine stuff these enterprising folks have to offer."

Buffalo Gals

"Right up front you will find the Buffalo Gals. They is a bunch of real enterprising ladies who kinda has their fingers in a lot of pies. You'll find the Post Office here where you can ship or pickup the treasures from various places on the mountain. This is right next to Wild Willie's Barn where you can get the answer to ever question you ever wanted to know about this here mountin'!"

"Why here is Teton Ken! WW2Mtn's own resident mountain man, prospector, mule tender, and general good frind of all the critters and kids on the mountain. He's here with some young friends, his kindly old mule, and his mule-ridin' dog Tuffy. If you is a smoker, you jus might wanta keep a respectable distance from the dinamit he's got loaded on that mule thou. When you see him down here on main street, tell him I said howdy."

"We have a bunch of really nice shops on the mountain and here are a few. I'll just let you see some of them and some of the fine folks that you'll find in them when yall comes on up to the mountain. You will find each of these places on the mountain has nice quality goods at a fair price."

"First we'll start off right here on main street and then we will proceed around a corner on Lazy Daze Lane the folks is just a waitin' to greet you. As you can see, we has quite a variety of places here on the mountin'. Some of them is real fancy, and then some is real plain, lik me."

"Lots of the shops has folks that does their craftin right there on the mountin. Why we have some of the finest craftsmen anywhere right here on the mountin. We has jewelers, woodcarvers, potters, blacksmiths, and I don't know what all that comes up here ever month and practices their crafts. They are all happy to answer your questions and a lot of em will make custom orders for you iffen you jus ask politely."

"Course we could stop in here at the Ice Cream Parlor as we develop a mighty hunger for something sweet and cold. Thers a lot of interestin' characters that drops in here from time to time so you just never know who you might jes meet a munchin' on a cone of luscious stuff."

"As we head on up the mountin, we'll come to the jail up by Dodge City. That's a favorite "hangin aroun" place up here as you can see some of the locals passin ther time there rit now. Now the jail is a place where there's always lots of stuff goin on. Ever so often we has some desparados who comes into town for no good purpose, but our mountin rangers always takes care of them! The sheriff is a real stickler for law and order here, yup. Why he's almost always arrestin someone fer spittin on the street, or sumpin lik that."

"There's lots of interesting things 'round there. Why we got our own stone carver and lots of artists, and the Dodge City Bank, and glass blowers. Now I blowed a little smoke from time to time, but I never quite got the hang of that glass blowin stuff."

"Why lookee there. Thats Big Tiny up ther a talkin to the Shady Lady. Shore hope Mrs Tiny ain't seed him ther. She'd be powerful put out with him and that ain't no lie! And rit down ther past Miss Shady Lady is the popkorn popper. Why they makes some real fine ole timey style caramel korn that is a real treat. You can tel how fresh it is by all the steam that comes outten there when they dumps out that fresh korn."

"Behind Dodge City we'll see the old grist mill where you can get the makin's for korn bread pizza and Miss Betty will greet us in front of Betty's Attic. Be sure to smil and wav a lot as you go up the mountn' cause these folks are powerful friendly toward most all strangers."

"And by now you're gettin a mite hungry I'll bet! Well, we can't let a thing like that spoil your fun so if you will look rite up here at the top of the mountin' you'll see Chicken Bob's! Now they don't call him "Chicken" because of no yeller streak or nothin'. You see Bob earned that name for servin' up the very finest fried chicken anywhere in these parts. I can just tast them good chicken livers & gravy rite now jus talkin' bout' it."

"Ther ar a lot more fin shops up here toward the top of the mountn' as you can plainly see. But this is only a small part of the fin' stuff that's available, and it don't cost nothin' to look to your harts content."
