Samples of Stuff for Sale on The Mountain
"While we's up here on the mountn', it would be nice to have a
look at some of all the fine stuff that these folks have in these shops. I don't know
where they gets all of it, but each month there is just more and more of some of the very
finest thangs I ever seed up here! Why, last time I came up the mountn' I found the
pertyest dress in one of these shops and I got it fer my wife. Ever time she wears it
everbody tells her how nice she looks and that really makes her feel good. She's still
a-thankin' me fer that one. (If you know what I mean.)"

"Here we can see some of the fine stuff thats up here on the mountain. Why thers
somebody up here that has most everythin' you can think of from Apple cores to Zither
strings (whatever them is, I'm shore we got em). We even have some folks what makes their
stuff rite here on the mountain in front of your very eyes."

"Now lotsa folks really liks fine metal work. Well, we has a whole
buncha places that has stuff lik that. Jus tak a look at them bracelets. They is made of
copper and German silver and brass and is jus as perty as you please, and folks say they
helps to keep your joints from hurtin. I even hear that John Wayne used to wear one of
'em. Well, I don't know bout you, but if its good for the Duke its good fer me so I got me
one a while back. Now that there cowboy is special made from pure steel with the color
coming from the heat treated metal. A feller up at The Artistic Torch up near the top of
the mountin' made that special fer me and I wouldn't take a perty penny fer it."

"Now we has some Indian folks up here on the mountin' too. Why
there's some Cherokees, and some Choctaws, and some Navahos, and I don't know what all,
but they's right enterprisin' folks fer sure! Some maks traditional crafts like dream
catchers and leather goods, and some works with silver and fine stones to mak some of the
pertiest jewelry you ever seed! We even has us a gun smith up here that has all kinds of
stuf for huntin', or just fer a decoratin the house. Never can tell what all you can fin
up here in all these shops on the mountin'."

"Of course no shopin' trip would be complete without wood stuf, and
we has a lot of that as well. We even has folk that makes the knives fer the carvin,
too."
